Spring has sprung (at least it has warmed up just a bit) and the dogs at Bangor's Dog Park were full of play. At times, it may not look like play from these photos, but I can assure you it was all play. It reminded me of young boys wrestling on the playground ...and boy did some of these dogs wrestle while others played ball and it appears all had a grand time!
This sweet shepherd puppy showed up for his first visit to the dog park and had never been around other dogs. He was extremely timid at first, but these dogs were kind enough to show him the ropes and teach him how to play like a dog!
While the large dog area was in high demand today, there were only a few small dogs while I was visiting the park. ....but they also were playing hard!
...and then there's my Lola. Lola loves coming to the park for the attention she gets from the two legged folks. She has a tendency of snubbing the other dogs and truly doesn't understand rough play (note the last photo). We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the two legged folks who give her a pat and the gentle reminder that jumping is very bad manners.
I always love your photos and in this group especially the one of the Golden taking a break BUT still has his ball tucked under him.
